Motorola announced its 4Q product line updates today. Nothing dramatic, and prices are stable.
The only interesting thing I saw was that the XTS 1500 is now 5 watts, as opposed to 4 watts (with no price increase). Also, the XTL 5000 which previously was available only in the 10-40 watt range, is now available in a high power model, rated at 10-100 watts. Both are UHF, 380-470 MHz. The high powered model commands an extra $500 over the mid-power model.
They have discontinued GPRS on their MW800 in the US, for some unknown reason.
There are a bunch of new Dispatch solutions, and equipment. I'll post this in Infrastructure.
New features on the DIU3000, and it is now CPS WIndoz supported, as opposed to DOS.
Since the Quant is now Windoz, it finally looks like DOS is dead for all front line Motorola products.
