ASTRO 25 Portable CPS R05.00.00

Post by SNO-MAN »

What about XTS3000 ? Do you still use a RIB and the same cable as previous ver CPS ? If not can, I get a M with the Pin-Outs ?

T

Connecting the PC to the Radio:
===============================
Do not use the Radio Interface Box (RIB), Smart Radio Interface Box (SRIB)
or any of the cables that plug into those boxes. Use only the following
direct PC to radio cables:

XTS 5000 / XTS 2500 / SSE 5000 / XTS 1500 / MT 1500 / PR 1500:

RS232 cable = RKN4106
USB cable = RKN4105

When using the USB cable, be sure to always click "Yes" on the Digital
Signature window whenever it is displayed by the operating system. Note
that the USB cable can be used only with Windows XP and Windows 2000
operating systems.

The XTS3000 is not part of the 'Astro25' line of radios, but rather the plain old 'Astro' line. It still has it's own RSS/CPS & still programs with the RIB & Jedi cable.

Astro Spectra mobiles use the Astro Spectra CPS software (seperate from any ofd the portables or other mobile products). You also need the rib still.

Astro Version 5 is the BOMB!!! Do some editing and you will see! Try playing with the new conventional scan and you "might" find something that will blow your mind!! I wont give away the secret. YOU have to find it yourself. It allows you do do something that has not been possible before.

So....a couple of months later, and now we know what the PR1500 is.

Does anything look unusual in the CPS for this model?

What radios do you own?: Too many!

I can't see anything different, but now there is version R05.02.00.

You do NOT have to uninstall older versions before upgrading which is a plus.
