One CPS version 5...........................

Post by radioracer »

Has anyone here seen or have a version of CPS version 5.00.00 that will do the XTS 3000, 5000, and XTL 5000 mobiles? I have one being sent to me today and should know if it actually works by early to mid week next week. All of my programming stuff is on its way to Florida right now so I cant try it till I meet up with that stuff. I called MOL and talked to the lady that handles all of the CPS and software stuff and she said it does work, 1 CPS program for 3 different radios. Just thought some of you that have a mixture of radios would like to know, no more changing CPS programs to get the radios reprogrammed.

OK the way it sounded to me is 1 CPS will do all 3 radios. Then I miss understood then. Thats why I couldnt figure out how 1 CPS program would do 3 different radios. Thanks.

Motorola wouldn't want to make things too simple for us.

The Astro Portable CPS programs the Astro Saber and XTS3000
The Astro25 Portable CPS programs the XTS5000, XTS2500, XTS1500, SSE5000, etc.
The Astro Mobile CPS programs the Astro Spectra
The Astro25 Mobile CPS programs the Astro Spectra Plus and the XTL5000

None of these have anything to do with the sort of CPS that programs 'dealer' radios like the Pro series, CDM, Ht1250 HT1550, etc.
