Does anyone have any information or documentation for the old T-1370 remote? This is the old System 90 Local Remote which looks like a TT telephone. This is for the restoration of an old dispatch centre for a historic display.
Any information, manuals, pinouts and connection info would be very helpful and much appreciated.

My two bits worth:
I sure have installed my share of these, but I have not been able to find the instruction booklet.
This was also known as the "Gutless Wonder", as it has no internal parts.
The nice heavy power cord only powers the red PTT lamp.
This is an extension microphone, speaker, PTT, and Monitor switch.
It was wired to the T1300/1600 remote, or consollette base station.
There is a junction box if many remotes are used at one location.
The cable was a 7 conductor cable.
Brown/shield= Mike High/ lo
Green = PTT
White = PL monitor
Black = Ground
Red = Speaker audio
Yellow = spare/ ? (I used to use it for lamp power.)
By the way:
System 90 is accessory package for the Micor, and Syntor mobiles.
Scan, Multi PL, etc.
There was also a type 90 remote, which was the next model.
different housing.

T-1370 Local Remote
Aloha Bernie,
Thanks very much for this helpful information.
I hope to mate this "Gutless Wonder" to a modern Maxtrac thru the 16 pin connector.
The "Wonder" has internal terminals numbered T1 thru T12. Do you know how these terminals pin out to the cable you describe?
I have no trouble with the connections to the accessory plug of the Maxtrac but I don't know how to identify the terminals of the remote.
Again thanks very much for your help.
All the best,
John

Did you ever get the pinout? I have the manual here.

Hi There Bob,
Thanks very much for picking up on this thread.
I am indeed still working on this "gutless wonder".
I never did get any information on the pinout of the terminals numbered T1 thru T12.
If you have one of the manuals, which I guess are quite rare, I would very much appreciate that information.
Again, thanks very much.
All the best,
John

T1 - mic (+)
T2 - PTT (via diode CR1)
T3 - PTT (direct)
T4 - mic (-)
T5 - RX audio (switched via hook switch)
T6 - RX audio (unswitched)
T7 - Ground
T8 - PL Disable (Ground switched via Monitor switch - NO in Monitor position))
T9 - monitor switch - spare (NO in Monitor position)
T10 - monitor switch - spare (Common)
T11 - monitor switch - spare (NC in Monitor position)
T12 - Supervisor switch (T1371 only) (switches PTT from T3)
T13 - handset - Ground
T14 - handset - RX (+)
T15 - handset - mic (+)
T16 - handset - mic (-)
T17 - handset - PTT (common with T3)
There are two cables listed, 6 and 7 conductor, with different color codes.
Normal connections are: (6cond / 7cond)
T1 (BRN / BRN)
T2 (RED / GRN)
T4 (SHLD / SHLD)
T6 (GRN / YEL)
T7 (BLK / BLK)
T8 (WHT / WHT)
spare ( -- / RED)
The speaker is normally connected between Ground and T5 (and T6 via hook switch)
black lead is GND (term 20), Yellow is RX audio (+), normally on (term 6) for muting when offhook. can also be on (term 11) for full time mute (term 11 is common with term 20),
or (term 7) for no muting.
Take care when interfacing to radios with floating speaker outputs, such as Spectras
Supervisor switch on T1371 is used to lock out PTT on parallel stations. Connect T12 on T1371 to T3 on parallel stations, and omit T2 on parallel stations.
TX lamp is supplied from the internal supply, with lamp being grounded via the PTT lead.
(term 9) is supply side of lamp, (term 3) is the PTT side.
notes: when used with P8270 series consoletes, omit jumper JU1 and add jumper JU2, capacitor C2, and resistor R7.
when used with ac utility and tube type consolete base stations, omit capacitor C1
when used with SA100 SSB models, and SP9000 multi-station control positions, reverse polarities on diodes CR1 CR2 CR3 and capacitor C3, omit jumper JU1 and resistor R3.
I'll try to scan this to pdf when I get a chance..
