I am working on a project at work where we are transitioning to VHF narrowband (ASTRO Digital) from VHF wideband.
I will be programming several hundred radios (ASTRO Spectras, XTS3000/5000's) in a two (LOL) day rollover period.
We operate on a 26 repeater multicast system with alternating Tx frequencies, and will involve two parallel channels (one for LE, one for general ops).
In other words the mobiles will be programmed:
Gen Ops, two channels: Tx 17x.xxxx Rx 16x.xxxx/16x.xxxx
LE, two channels: Tx 17x.xxxx Rx 16x.xxxx/16x.xxxx
Question: Can the RSSI option be set up with priority? If a mobile is scanning Gen Ops, LE (both digital) and several cooperating agencies (analog), will I be able to ensure that LE personnel do not miss important traffic on the LE freq?
I am also looking for feedback on same-band in-car repeaters (See other post)

Re: ASTRO conventional, 26 repeater multicast, RSSI scan lis
I'm not sure - but I think you can use Conventional Voting Scan to do that - I think the only downfall is that you can't scan other channels while that happens.Ranger522 wrote:I am working on a project at work where we are transitioning to VHF narrowband (ASTRO Digital) from VHF wideband.
