I did a discussion search already. I would like to know if the XTS3000 or any of the XTS series radios will decode MDC1200 IDs on analog transmission?
Thanks
Jason

The H14 option is required for the XTS to display MDC IDs - and- it does not alias the ID to a name in your call list.
There is no such thing as an "advanced stat-alert mdc features" flash for XTS.
Advanced Stat-Alert features were defined by Motorola in the AB-64 product announcement as four features: Selective Inhibit, Emergency Alarm and Call (hot mic emergency), Remote Monitor, and Repeater Access.
Radios like the XTS include certain MDC [Stat-Alert] features as part of the H35 conventional package. Those features include DOS, Emergency, Call Alert, Status, Message, Radio Check, and PTT-ID.
On the XTS3000 there are certain MDC based features that are available as flash options: H101 Conventional Repeater Access, H43 Remote Monitor and Radio Trace, and H14 ID Display. [Although ID display was never defined as a subscriber 'Advanced Stat-Alert' feature]
Motorola long ago stopped promoting MDC as Stat-Alert. That was during a short lived period where they were pushing what was called 'Advanced Conventional Systems'. The concept was to sell trunking features like PTT ID and Emergency to conventional systems through the use of MDC. Astro came along and ended that since all those capabilities are built into Astro.
The H14 option also applies to Astro operation whereas H101 does not. Confused yet? Good. Motorola likes it that way [or so it would seem]
