AS3 Scan list field program enable

Post by NEWS435 »

I just got finished entering all the channels into the original rss software. I have all my zones and channel names set up. I created 12 scan lists, 1 for each bank.

Before I reprogrammed the radio, I used to have the option to change the channels in the scan list from the front display. Now, I only have the ZONE and VIEW menus.

What did I miss?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I have never used Astro RSS so I cant answer specifically but I believe you need to enable user programmable scan lists in the scan options menu. I would definitely check there first.

Not exactly sure of the problem without seeing the radio, but for what it is worth:

1. Scan lists are tagged per "personality" (channel), not per "zone." After creating zones, you can create scan lists (which point to a zone and a slot in the zone). Then you have to go back and, for each "personality," define the scan list that will be employed if scan is entered while that channel is selected.

2. Each scan list has an option for whether the non-priority members are user selectable. That must be enabled in order for the user to have access to scan list programming for the list associated with the selected channel.

3. Finally, there must be a menu item created for PROG and SCAN. That menu item will only appear when you are selected on a channel that is tagged to a scan list that is set for OpSel for the non-priority members.
