for those of you who didn't know
the xts 3500 is built similarly to the XTS 5000.
unlike the XTS 3000, which uses THREE boards (vocoder, RF and controller boards)
the XTS 3500 combines the vocoder and controller into a single board... a la XTS 5000 style....
just thought that was interesting enuf to post

While staring at the photos of Doug's 3500, I thought of how familiar the boards looked. Then it hit me: A naked Minitor I pager with its two boards sandwiched together, to fit neatly inside that familiar grey case.
Pretty strange how the actual components change along with the technology...yet stays the same.
Okay.. it's bedtime.
