And, ergo, if they claim P25 compatibility, then they must use the IMBE vocoder, right? Congratulations, you've proven yourself wrong by your very own logic.

Tait has representatives on the P25 standards committee. Do you really think they're going to spend time and money to place those people on the committee, then roll out an incompatible digital product?

Larry - why is it so hard for you to admit when you don't know what you're talking about?

Let's see, who was it that said Tait "MOST LIKELY will use the IMBE vocoder for Phase I support" when it is mandatory, by your own admission? Hmmmm, I wonder who can't admit it when they are wrong?! And, by the way, I don't believe every advertisement that I read. If you believe every ad you see mr. tv, may I sell you a bridge?

Let's see:
- They state in their own press releases that the units are P25-compatible
- They have personnel on the P25 working group
- Their FCC cert has emissions types which jive with both Phase 1 and Phase 2 transmissions
- P25 is the gold standard for digital radio communications in the US, for better or worse
- Any company, Tait included, wants to develop products that are desired and will sell well
- P25 compatibility is a major selling point which will allow them to sell more radios
- APCO lists Tait as producing products compatible with P25

Seems to make sense to me that their radios are going to be P25 compliant, as they state in their press release.

Give it up, Larry, you're wrong. Since you're such a big :o in the digital radio sector (yeah, right), why don't you call them and ask? I bet you're so important that they'll send you a sample to play with.

No, thanks, I'll stick with Motorola, as their P25 radios are "most likely" (there's that phrase again!) much better.

I highly doubt that Motorola will be losing too much sleep over Tait's joke for a radio. Now Radio Shack, what with its CB's, may have to respond in kind.
