Can an Astro Saber III/XTS3K(35K) do non-standard PL's as well as what is the freq split???
My XTS5000 can not do non-standard PL's so I guess I am going to have to get rid of it and was either looking at another /\/\ digital or having to go over to Kenwood Digital but then would have to dump the XTS.
Can anyone help answer these questions???

No, you can't. Not without redesigning the firmware. The codeplug info being progrmmed into the radio only gives the PL tone a hex value that the firmware recognizes.
You would have to change the firmware to say "when programmed with hex value EC, then produce 123.0hz"
It's essentially an internal cross-reference table custom to the firmware.
sorry.
