The price is right, just curious if this does IMBE digital. Or can you even tell?

The seller does not provide enough information to tell. You can get a good idea by looking at the flashcode but you cannot tell for sure unless you have the firmware and DSP version.

Check out the Astro Primer stickie for the specifics about what to look for as far as what versions support analog, VSELP, and IMBE.

IMO: based on the age, i would bet its VSELP unless its been uplifted.

that guy had a astro saber vocon with a whored out flash in it a while ago for $125.00

When asked about what teh host/ds was he kept saying he didn't know...

It was a non-imbe capable host dsp, one of the guys on here got stuck with it.

I'd venture to say, it's a vselp rig.

HAHAHA...

That would be me. I didnt look at the seller. In fact, that Vocon ended up being analog only which he claimed was IMBE. He gave a VSELP Firmware/DSP to some one else on the board and told me he didnt know what it was.

This guy sells crap and lies through his teeth. I would certainly avoid him unless you are absolutely sure of what you are getting.

I sold the guy a MINT condition VHF Astro Saber 3, complete with accessories and AVA. A couple people here had that radio before me, and can vouch for it's condition. Price shipped was $670.

When he got it, he said that it needed to be sent to depot because it wouldn't power up. Tried to get the price of a depot trip out of me.

End result: we exchanged negative feedback and he's on my banned bidders list.
