I am receiving bad, constant interference on a channel in my Maxtrac. It is also heard on the handheld radio so it's not the maxtrac. It sounds like someone is keying up electronic noise/static and it's jamming the freq.
(Side tracking) I haven't checked with our neighboring county's EMA to see if they know anything about it. It's been constant for days.
(Back to the point) That static really makes my radio useless on scan mode. Is there ANY way I can lockout that channel on scan?
Also.. does an online manual exist for a maxtrac somewhere?
Thanks

While it's stopped on that channel, hold in the 'sel' button until it beeps... it's nuisance channel delete... but if you change the scan mode(on /off) or turn the radio on/off, you'll have to do it each time.... or - if it's constant interference, you may want to take it out of your scan list until the problem has been found.. As far as the manual... I went to a local M dealer & asked if they had one... they looked through a box of manuals & gave it to me... got one's for my GP300 & MT1000 that way too...
If the users are encoding PL, make sure your radio is programmed for tone squelch.
