Quantar firmware question (will it do IMBE?)

Post by n7maq »

Hello, I'm looking at a VHF range 1 Quantar to purchase. The seller sent me this info

Stn Control FW: R016-08-004
Wireline FW: R016-08-003
Exciter FW: R020-09-005
Codeplug 9

Can someone tell me from the info above, will this unit do IMBE? The seller can't tell me. They have set them up to do VSLEP, but the have never tried IMBE (they are in England).

Thanks,

Jim.

Even with shipping, and duty I'm still paying $300.00 less, that's why. But I won't get it unless I know it will do IMBE.

All of the firmware version numbers vs. RSS version numbers vs. supported features & capabilities data is located in section 8 of your Quantar RSS manual.

Wow! I didn't know that Quants had taken such a nosedive in pricing! $18,000 new, and $2,000 used. Gotta LOVE that eBay!
