OT: Uniden Scanner 800Mhz Re Banding effects??

Post by FMROB »

Okay, I know this is off topic, BUT seems how everyone gets hard over promoting the use of the scanner instead of Moto stuff to **monitor only** 800 mhz trunked systems this should be an acceptable off topic inquiry, How will this effect the Uniden stuff?

I currently have a mix of radios, including

780xlt
785D
796D

Has uniden released anything as of yet. The system by me is changing very soon, and I would like to update the scanners. Thanks, Rob

There's an entire thread on RadioReference.com dedicated to this topic. Start here:

Summary for Uniden radios: BC246T, BCT8, BC898T, BC296D, BC796D, BCD396T can all be firmware flashed. All other models must be replaced.

As stated, you may want to go to RR.com for scanner related information.
