CPS R02.01.00 via RS232C-Com2
You're using an old version of CPS, that's for sure. Latest is R05.02.00.
Hit the side button 5 times after turning the radio on and it'll give you the serial number along with lots of other numbers that are extremely helpfull.

If that is one of the "alpha" radios then the older retail software will not read it. Upgrade your CPS. Some people here stated the new CPS is capable of reading/writing to the "alpha" radios.
strange my CPS, R05.00.00, supports the PR1500, Mt1500. When was the PR1500 added ? I haven't loaded new CPS since March or April and I'm programmingXTS5000 radios that came in 3 weeks ago with R05.00.00
I don't know - I only went by the comments in my MOL account:
This CPS is for dealers only supporting PR1500 radios - ASTRO 25 Portable CPS Version: R05.02.00
It's a run-on sentence. I don't know if they mean that this CPS is "for dealers only", or the CPS is "only supporting PR1500 radios" ??
ALthough M would like to think that anyone with the CPS is a dealer, and a new version supporting only one model seems dumb ......
I suppose someone that's actually installed it can comment.
