Ok, I have an 84 buick, I was going to go the cheap way out and get halogens and cheap stuff. My alternator went, I just got a new one, New plan, LED's all the way around because of the low power intake. I have Wig wags (more power), I have deck LED's, I am going to put led's in my grill and in my trunk for when it is open. I am also going to have a dash LED. I am going going to put in an airhorn. I have a mobile and maybe a cb in there too. I have a console and a switch box. Alot of an 84 Buick. This car doesn't like all of this and all of it is not bought or hooked up yet. To help me battery, I am thinking about putting another battery in or getting a VP007 from Galls. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I unwired EVERYthing and will start from scratch again (the correct way)

if you have 2 radios, wig-wags, air-horn and some LED's, you shouldn't need another battery. Just get the biggest battery you can fit on the tray (watch the hood clearance). also, if you didn't do the alternator job yet, check to see if you can get a hi-amp alternator for your car. if the parts counter doesn't have one, a good auto-electric shop can get it re-wound for higher amp output.

I have to agree with the others, i was toasting one Alternator a year running 2 110Watt Syntor 9000 Radio's and a Butt-load of Lights. I had my friend who runs a machine shop rewind the alternator to put out more amperage, and spent the extra jack for a big interstate battery, haven't had any problems in 3 years now. The rebuilt alternators you get at O'Reilly just doesn't cut it in the Public safety field.
I ordered my new truck with dual alternators (available from the factory). 260A of DC goodness.
