Motorola Spirit HP Charger Light Question

Could someone help me with a question that I have Please. When the battery is in the charger and in the charging mode the light is red But when it is fully charged does the light turn green thanks

also the chargers are the standard ones ,10 hour chargers

NO, the Red LED never turns off, and the charger continues to 'cook' the battery..


10 hour charger= max time in the charger is NO MORE than 14 hours.

Also does anyone know how much longer would a New (1000 NI-MH) battery last on a full charge compare to the standard battery new (650 Ni-Cad) for these radio's,Thanks

It would be the same because the NiMh will never reach full charge in the 10 hours on the charger. You sould leave the 1000mAh NiMh in the slow charger for about 16 hours to obtain a full charge.

The higher capacity NiMh should run about 1.5 times as long as the stock 600mAh NiCad battery.
