Questions on CPI interface box for Astro Radio

Post by rrfd43 »

My fire department has a rack of maxtracs hooked to the CEB of our motorola centracom base radio using CPI mr100's. The 800 meg trunk radio has been removed and now is replaced by a astro spectra.

Do we need a new cpi interface box for this?
Would you know the model necessary?
Are there premade cables from the spectra to the CPI?

All are kinda new to me so any info would be great.

It is a dash mount on a power supply, no consollette. I'm not sure it the new system is running astro. XTS2500 are the portables used. Looks like an older spectra, it has dial knobs for volume and channel.
