Just purchased a range 1 UHF astro spectra from Flea-bay. Radio is powering up with the following error codes: "Fail 001" and "ER 1C/10". Has anyone ever seen these before?
Please let me know.
Thanx

Getting "Fail 001" and "ER 1C/10"

Your codeplug may not match your hardware. FAIL 001 is synthesizer out of lock. ERROR 1C/10 could mean TRC hardware error.
Compare the model and serial number information from the radio's tag to what is reported by the programming software.
You may have to open the radio and get the part numbers of the VCO & other range specific boards to see if they match the codeplug.

TRC = Tone Remote Console
It's like having a Spectra set up for a siren and DEK; the radio doesn't see the hardware, it throws an error code at you but continues to function. Since your radio came out of a consolette, it was probably set up to interface with one or more remotes. Just go into the codeplug and disable TRC Option and you're good.
