PL Tone level on a GP900

Anybody got any ideas on how to reduce the PL Tone level on a GP900??

Yes,

You need to go to the service Menu (F2) to adjust it.

That was my initial guess as well, but sadly no there is no PL deviation adjustment in the GP900/GM900 range.

Motorola sent out a European Technical Information Bulletin in 1996:

'... the GVN6018A (program on 3.5inch disk) 900 series PL Deviation Utility in now available, which changes the PL Deviation to a lower level...'

I wish we had that ability on Jedi radios, some have way too much PL and or DPL deviation. This is a BIG problem on some systems, a little too much tone dev and it distorts at the receiver. I am working on a Kenwood (I know bad word) dual radio system and can not turn down the PL tone deviation.
