HT1250 Programming

Post by Larry »

I've got 3 HT1250 radios, 2 UHF and 1 VHF.... I am able to read and progam the UHF radios but for some reason I cannot read the VHF radio. I keep getting "cannot read check rib, and that power is on.... The VHF already has been programmed, but not by me, I'm trying to reprogram the radio.... Any ideas what might be causing my trouble reading the radio? I have CPS version R6.02

Thanks

Try cleaning the accessory pins...it doesn't take much for them to not work. Otherwise, you could try swapping the front cover from one of your known good UHF units. If swapping the front covers doesn't fix it, you're into a circuit problem & it gets much harder to fix.

I swapped out the radio housings and has success in programming the VHF radio. Thanks it worked. Does a re-case kit include the ribbon ciurcut and speaker?
