TROUBLE WITH ASTRO SABER/NO RX IN DIGITAL TRUNKING MODE

Post by icom98 »

I recently purchaed an Astro Saber and had it programmed on an Astro/Apco 25 system. The radio was cloned from a known working unit and I've verifed all fields in the programming to verify it was correct. Radio works fine in the conventional mode. Its receiving the control channel and transmits fine. Anyone have any suggestions on a possible fix.

Thanks,

Check your radio's firmware version.

It is possible that someone put a P25 trunking capable flashcode into your radio but the radio's firmware does not support that feature.

It must be version 6.xx

XMO,

Thanks for the help. This appears to be the problem. My firmware version is 03.20.01.00, and was flashed for smartzone & Apco 25 digital operation.
