XTS5K cover removal...

Post by Renamon »

How do you get the cover off? I thought it was similar to the Jedi series, but I dont want to try and break it.

Thanks!

It is the same way as the jedi series.

Gently lift the plastic away from the metal housing at the bottom on the radio using a small flat screw driver or something similar. Be careful not to cut the gasket and once the cover is off be careful of the speaker and control flex thats still attached to the housing.

What radios do you own?: MT-500 with scan

Not the same, the MTS series radios the back cover is connected to the top knobs, which means you have to pull the knobs off first as appose to the XTS the top knobs are part of the front housing ,not the back.
Keep the flames to yourself.
