ht1550-xls voice storage standard now?

Post by ku4zs1 »

I just ordered a new UHF 403-470 model HT1550 from my local M dealer. I wanted to get the voice board for it. The dealer originally said that the voice board was an option, and quoted me a price on it (though I do not remember exactly what that was). Just before he placed the order with M, he said that the voice board does come standard with the radios now. Is that right? I got a VERY good price on this radio with the voice board, and I just want to make sure that I am really going to get the voice board.

I have zero doubts as to the legitness (is that a word?) of this dealer, so that is not the concern here. This is a very well known dealer in this area and this company also provides local 2 way radio services. I just want to make sure that I am getting the right thing.

My HT1550XLSs (all 3, now sold off) all came with voice storage. The first one was purchased when they were just released to dealers for demo purposes, the last one about 18 months ago.

Voice storage is a built-in feature on the HT1550 that is enabled in programming.

It is not a separate option board, as it is in the HT1250.
