ASTRO SABER PROGRAMMING PROBLEM--PLEASE HELP!!

Trying to program digital TG's into Astro Saber model# H04UCF9PW7AN and a FLASH CODE of: 501008-000000-9

Q806/G806 IMBE / APCO-25 Digital Operation
H14/G114 Digital ID Display
G170/H43 Remote Monitor and Radio Trace
H38/G51 Smartzone Operation

I do have radio with a codeplug of: 500008-000400-7 THIS RADIO WORKS JUST FINE!

When I try to force the CP from the one that works into the one that doesn't, I have to use the CLONE RADIO screen. When I attempt to do this, I get this error: "The feature set of this codeplug does not match the feature set of the radio. Program radio failed".

Can anyone advise?

FYI: BOTH RADIOS HAVE THE SAME MODEL #'s

The radios don't have the same flashcode though therefore cloning won't work. If your using CPS use the drag and drop feature.

As JMR962 pointed out, having the same model# doesn't mean the radios are identical. That will just tell you they're the same bandsplit, power level, etc. The flashcodes must also be identical, as it determines what features are in the radios (thus the "feature set mismatch" error you've been seeing).

Fortunately, with CPS you can "drag & drop" all your programming from one radio to another which isn't identical. Just open your 'master' radio in one CPS window, and open your 'target' radio in another. You can drag just about any 'green' portion of the radio tree from one to the other. You can't drag the 'grey' portions (in later versions of CPS, the grey & green lines have been replaced with individual icons on each branch of the tree). There's more info in the CPS help files, and even tutorial movies you can watch, if you have the original CD (or loaded them during install). Once you figure it out, it only takes a few minutes to program even the most complex of codeplugs into another radio.

I should mention of course you need a system key in order to drag & drop trunking fields.

If you're using DOS RSS, you're screwed & need to enter everything manually.
