I am having some problem with the timeing of the CWID. At times it works then it will not work for 5 to 8 hours. I have it programed for every 15 min but it does not come on every 15 min. Has anyone ever had this problem or have a fix. Thank you for your time.
Doesn't it just ID every X amount of minutes when it is being used, and then if it goes dormant for at least the entire amount of X it stays silent until the next time its keyed up?
I know that's how 99% of them around here operate.

It seems to ID the most after 6 pm and yes it stays quite for most of the day. I thought it was suppose to ID by it's self every 15 min but I guess I was wrong.... Thanks for the reply
Most repeaters seem to run controllers now that have the smart id feature to eliminate unnecessary transmissions.
In the ham radio world the repeater needs to ID every ten minutes while in use, and it needs to id whenever it transmits after that time has expired. So if someone kerchunks it 20 minutes or so after the last time it was in use it will ID.
I know some controllers also have settings for every hour or half hour, or whatever you want, when the repeater is not in use.

If yours is a digital station, the SSCB firmware is very "polite" in that it will not ID over another [perceived] transmission. You can check the R1 UNSQ if you have a DMP, or check the receiver squelch manually with the RSS if you have an audio monitor connected to the RJ11 jack on the SSCB. Set until receiver just closes squelch and the 5 points more with the RSS. I had the same problem as yours with a digital station, and Bernie provided the above answer that cured the problem.
