Spectra mon function

Post by offroad21 »

I am trying to program a VHF high power with A9 head. I can't find a way to make one of the buttons a MON button. When I scrol through the options, It doesn't exist. Also I can't make the radio let me adjust the squelch. The button is there in the middle bottom row, but it doesn't work. The normal 8 button is shown when I read the radio as Blank. Any Ideas???

Thanks

That would tell me that another button was allready assigned the MOM function. Usally it is the #8 key that is MON on the A5, 7 & 9 heads.

You may have to go in and blank all the control buttons, write (prog.) that back into your radio. Then read it and set the buttons, then write it back to the radio.

Yes on the A9 the '0' button on the keypad is generally the "sql" or squelch button. Tapping it does the monitor function on and off while holding it down for about 1 second puts it into squelch setting (0-15). Hope that helps.
