MT1000 Power up tone

I have a MT 1000 and it work just fine but it will not emit the power up tone. I check the RSS and I have it enabled. Could it be something else?

Hi:

Try the enable / disable a few times and program
it each time.

Sometimes the features in the MT1000 gets
a little soft.

Other than that, you could have a internal
problem

Review the RSS settings with care

How old is your battery?.... I had the same problem with mine... except it would beep right out of the charger, but after say 10 mins, if you turned it off & back on, no tone... Turned out the battery was bad. If the battery voltage is below specs, you will not get a good tone. I changed the battery, and haven't had a problem since.
