MOL shows that the TDN8224A RIM-II is currently available.

There are no plans here for building one because it isn't a very practical do-it-yourself project due to its complexity - it contains a microprocessor and firmware - it would be sort of like trying to build a radio from scratch.

If you want to see what's involved just order the manual for about 5 bucks.

Oh well my dealer went online while I was on the phone and said it wasn't available.

It's probably not a "dealer" item.

You might be able to get a "Direct" Motorola rep to order it but you should be prepared for the price [approx $1248.00 US list]

Yes, I thought as much, but unfortunately the $15,000 Genesis software wont work without it, I used to deal with Merilee Terrell but she's gone now I think. I'll have to talk to someone else. Motorola seems to go through the people pretty fast these days.

In addition to the RIM II you will also need a radio. We only use the Spectra here so I'm not sure if any others can go to the RF modem mode that is required.

MTS-2000 RSS contains an 'RF Modem' option, and I believe the help file says something about System Watch.

I had a /\/\ supplied MCS2000 with the RIM-II on a System Watch installed back in 2000-2001. RIM interfaced through the bottom connector.

Thanks, I have the radios, we do a lot of Moscad here the mcs-2000 or even the old maxtracs with the data plug do well.Hopefully the guys at M, still make one. I know where one is here on the Island, but it's going to be about twice list due to it's rarity.
