Tpl Mobile Amp and GR1225

Post by Mikey »

I have a GR1225 Repeater that i would like to boost up to 100 watts. I also have a TPL mobile amp that is Bi-directional. Is there any way to remove the antenna relay in the TPL amp to use it with the repater, or can i just leave the Relay in there since its going to be beetween the tx. and the duplexer. I know this amp isn't rated for Continuos duty, but i really don't need it to be, as all that goes across this repeater is paging tones and very light voice traffic. Thanks

You should be OK with the amp between the tx connector and the duplexer as long as the duplexer will handle the 100 Wats. Duplexers supplied with the GR1225 are rated at 50 watts. You should be sure your license covers you for 100 watts also.

It has an External Duplexer that is rated up to 100 watts Max. Our license is for 110 watts, so i should be ok. Thanks
