Radius M10 Mobiles
I got Radius M10 mobiles. No control heads on any of them. they are 16 pin. I need to know everything about these radios. what do the pins on the front of the radio do where the control head would normally be. what about the 16 pin connector on rear of radio. how do i program them w/o heads. I may build a small repeater or echolink station. I have 4 radios to mess with.
Thank You,
Robert

I have one that I had purchased a while ago still. It's a VHF 25w. Basically M10's are just 1 channel radios that do PL/DPL/CSQ/Repeater Split, TX and RX. That's about it. I believe that they were only done in 25w modles. (altho i may be wrong) They were made to be repeater radios, but alot ended up being used as actual mobiles or bases for customers with only 1 freq. I believe that there is a Mod you can do to them to make them do 2 channels, with the right control head.(M120). As for the pins, since the radio is a 1 Channel GM300, probably the same as the GM300.
Not sure what you mean on this, but you say "no control heads".
The M10 "control head" is just the front plate with speaker, mic connector socket, and on/off/volume control.
So, if you have the front panel with no leds, or other buttons, but matches the above description, you have the whole radio. If you have just about 27 pins in a single row sticking out, then you need a GM300 or other compatible front panel.
The M10 is a great little radio, but as the previous post states, its just one channel.
It uses the GM300 RSS.
I "modified" a few to make them two channel. I don't think its worth the trouble really. But it can be done.
I would suggest your use them with a RICK or other "repeater interface", or maybe trade them to someone that wants to make a repeater with them.
