XTS3000 refurb housing question

Post by Mfire39 »

Ok this is what I want to know. In reading past posts on this issue about A and B version housings, I'm still a little unsure. Looking at the inside of the housing on my XTS3000 model 3, on the flex ribbon that plugs into the radio, it has printing on it that says "STD 40 Pin". Now, looking at MOL, the refurb that I found for the XTS3000 model 3 states "STD 41 Pin. Is there a 40 pin and a 41 pin? Or are they the same? I pretty much just want to know what the basic difference is in the XTS3000 model 3 flex ribbon for the A and B versions, and if anyone has part numbers for the different versions of refurb kits. I hope all of this makes sense.

Thanks in advance,

I concur with doug on the xts3500 wierdness.

My AN xts3500 also uses the B series housing connector.

Perhaps the A revision 3500 was introduced during the B revision 3000's run?

they always use parts from the last model of the radio used.

just like cars, keep the newest revision and use the good bits.
