Saber Securenet Radio in a Ruggedized Case??

Post by dittrimd »

I have a Securenet Saber 2 UHF 440 to 470 and was wondering if you can put it into a Securenet Saber 2 Ruggedized Case? I am not sure if there are any differences in the radios themselves. Also is there a different mic for ruggedized radios like for the XTS series?

Thanks,

Mark

What radios do you own?: What's a radio?

Yes you can put your radio in a ruggedized housing & your mic will work. However you WILL need a new battery.

Thanks, I did realize that the ruggedized case would require a battery for the ruggedized case.

Expect to pay about twice for the 'ruggedized' battery models, thanks to the release catch and that funky design.

Ruggedized Sabers are NOT worth the price...swap to a regular Saber and be done with it....save your good $$$ for better things, like guns :-)

Shouldn't that be guns and women ? One can only play with guns for so many hours in a day before they even get boring and you need to move to something better. Spent the weekend before last up at gunsite academy in Paulden and we played with radios and towers the entire day.
