Astro P25, IMBE CAI Question

Hello. I am fairly new to P25/IMBE/CAI (The same to my understanding)

My XTS3k has an H35 Flash, which has P25.

Now, it gives the option for like Individual ID, talkroup ID's....etc.

Now, if I wanted to monitor a system that utilizes P25, would I need to know a certain code, etc? Or would I just need to set the RX to p25.

Another question....if I had 2 radios capable of P25, and wanted to set them up to talk to eachother, would they need to have a certain code enabled between the 2? Or would I just need to activate P25 on both radios, and I'm done. (kinda like you set to radios to CSQ and they talk to eachother)

as far as monitoring a system, (assuming conventional) you don't need a NAC just set your unmute rule to digital CSQ and you'll hear any digital transmission on that mode.

To talk (conventional) between two radios you have to set the NAC to the same ID.
