HMN-1056D pinouts

Post by amateurguy »

Hi Group,

Does anyone have the pinouts on the 1056D Moto palm mic? Micro specs would be nice too.

I have searched hi and low for the pinouts and I have not been able to locate anything so any info would be appreciated!

If it's the mike that works in a MaxTrac, Radius, GM300, GTX, or probably several others, with an 8-pin RJ45 connector on it, you can find the pinout for the MaxTrac MIC jack in the radio-specific section of BatLabs.

Obviously the mike itself won't have a headset connection, but the pins for ground, PTT, mike audio, hang-up/monitor will be present.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the reply. That's a good question ... as I am not sure if it does work with the MaxTrac, Radius, GM300, GTX radios.

I would like to just open it up but i understand its sonically welded so there's no way to open it up without destroying it.

I'm pretty sure that mike does work on those radios. If the cable has an RJ45 connector at the radio end, then the pinout for the radios should be good. The 1056 number sounds real familiar; I'm just not sure about the suffix letter.

Yes, those are throw-away mikes. You can break into them but they're never quite the same after you glue them back together again. The cable is replacable, but that's about all.

Bob is right on this one. It will work on the Maxtrac and just use the Maxtrac pinout to determine what each wire is. Don't bother trying to open one up if you get a bad one, i tried to get one open, wasn't much good after that fight.
