I have an HT1000 mic here HMN6193, and the little latch-tab on the bottom is snapped off; the one that fits in the slot right under the Accy Connector on an HT1000. The cord is really nice and taught, tho, unlike my other ones. Is it possible to remove the cord from that connector, or should I trash it and just keep the mic head/screws/rubber sealer on the connector??
Thanks,
Ray.

well you could replace the connector if you have one, but it is a major PITA, the mike cable has some adhesive sealant on the inside of the strain relief, and soldering the wires is a pain, you have to remove the little circuit board with the pins, unsrew the captive spanner on the audio jack. Not really worth it IMO. I'd just keep the good mike head around as a spare.
Of course you can order a complete cord assembly and just plug it into the old head. But last I checked, they were like 60 bucks, which is just shy of a whole NEW NMN6193.
