Anyone know of EVDO cards that have EXTERNAL antenna connectors?
My docking station is under a rear seat in the burb leaving a lot of steel to obscure the on card antenna.
A couple sierra wireless cards do, that's all I can find.

Actually the opposite.
Verizon is only offering 2 maybe 3 PCMCIA cards and only the V620 has the external antenna jack on it. And I have found that the external antenna does not make much of a difference, if any at all.

I just tested a Sprint PCS EVDO card for work, it was a Sierra Wireless card and it DID have a antenna jack. Don't ask me what type is though, I have no idea. I can get the model # for you tomorrow if you need it....apco25 wrote:Anyone know of EVDO cards that have EXTERNAL antenna connectors?

Usually, the external antenna makes no difference because of the loss associated in the coax run. You can deal with this a couple of ways... personally, I'm running LMR coax for the antenna which helps, and I'm also running a bidirectional "smart" amplifier.
The right answer is one of the Sierra Wireless modem boxes, but those are mucho dinero.
