Replacing XTS3000 Uhf Power Module ?

Post by radio-amateur »

Hello,

It seems that my XTS3000 Power Module is dead.
DC current is low and output power is null. XTS
service manual shows the U104 Hybrid (85Y10) having
7 pins. The board however has a 85Y10 hybrid having
only 4 pins ! Question : Does anybody have experience
using hybrid from a MTS or HT1000 RF Board ?
Would you share the technics being used to de-solder
the PA Module :-)

Thank you for your comments

Cheers.

Great job akardam !!! Thank you for sharing your experience.

I think though that I will take the big "mama" solder Iron way :-)

Unfortunately, I am not able to source any genuide Motoroal parts. I need to find an alternative way

Anybody knows if a HT1000 or MT/MTS2000 PA would fit a XTS3K ?

If you have MOL access, just go online and order the module. If not, go do your local Motorola dealer and see if they can order the part for you.

If you can find the same part # in an HT1000 or Astro Saber board, It'll match.

Good luck, Will
