Need P/N for Center Pin of XTS PS Mic
I have an XTS Public Safety Mic thats apparently missing the center pin on the mic side of the part that connects to the adapter. So I have two questions:
1. Is it possible to open the connector and replace this part?
2. If so, anyone have the part number so I can order one?
This thing came from ebay so who knows why the pin is missing. I havent tried taking the connector apart yet.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Motorola will sell you a replacement cable harness, likely more than you can buy a used replacement for.
Those small parts arent available individually, but rather as a kit.

Re: psm
Do you have a p/n for the kit? It is at least worth getting a price off of MOL.Jason wrote:Motorola will sell you a replacement cable harness, likely more than you can buy a used replacement for.

Did some reasearch on this for you, it appears the cord assembly is not available, as it requires a factory test procedure before it ships. An MSS can probably get it, IMHO. In fact, the parts are however, at least they do have a part number, not sure on availability. Call AAD (well, what used to be) they should be able to get you a price.
The previous commentary about the small parts not being available was incorrect. The standard JEDI NMN6191/6193/6193SP03 mics are not repairable, but only can have the cordset, ptt lever, and clip replaced.
Here are a few screenshots I made for you, and the group. Should be handy to keep on hand.
As always all materials are copyright Motorola, Inc.

I have one of these which I disassembled to repair. It was fairly easy to take apart, however, after I soldered the rf cable to part 47 show in the screen capture above, it still did not work. I too looked on MOL for a replacment cable to no avail. That mic is still sitting on my bench and still will not receive any RF from the antenna, other than that, it works fine.
