Astro Saber III Channels

Post by billy7834 »

I see most ASIII's are advertised as being capable of 255 conventional channels (modes). How can these be divided among zones. 16 modes X 16 zones = 256 not 255...Obviously I'm missing something.

However you want... the zones are configurable. You can have four channels in zone 1, 22 in zone 2, 8 in zone 3, etc... the max is 255 assignments.

Is there a maximum # of zones?

Amount of modes in a zone is not limited by a 16 position channel knob?

1. Yes, 255, cause you have to have one channel in each zone.
2. Correct, you access the other channels by assigning a menu option of CHAN/SUB.
