HT1000 refurb kit

Post by 0rlando »

Hi,

I'm re-casing my ht1000 for the first time and have a question. I removed all the components in the case from the old and transferred them to the new case. My only problem is removing the pin actuator. Is there a trick to this? Or did I need to order that with the parts.

I'm using REX4398A as the parts -- the pin actuator was not part of the kit, I'm assuming I am to remove the one from the old case.

Thanks,
Orlando

No biggie. From the inside of the case apply pressure to the pin part of the actuator with a small screwdriver, you'll feel a little pop and you'll be able to pull it out from the other side. Out will come the actuator with the weather boot attached, should be able to snap it into your new housing with finger pressure and then the screwdriver or your nail till you get that pop again that seats it.
