GM300 problem

Post by Donnie5063 »

I have a GM300 and I cant get the RSS to read the codeplug. It does the com test fine and states radio communications OK. The radio works properly. My computer is fine, it does maxtrac, gp300, p110 etc.. with no problems. My RIB and cable are working fine. What gives?

Thanks for any help given, Donnie

Is it giving off a low long tone on power-up? I had the same problem a while back, and ended up just blanking the unit with lab and starting over.

MaxTracs, in their default configuration, expect to see a wire jumper from pins 7 to 9 on the accessory plug, to defeat the emergency switch input. When this jumper is missing, the radio will beep shortly after power-up. Maybe an accessory plug would help.

Although if you're hearing anything, the internal speaker must have been enabled somehow by a jumper from pins 15 to 16.

So the "comms test" is ok...do you get anything when you try to read it normally? Any error codes? Are you using GM300 RSS, or are you maybe trying to use RADMBL or something else?

when I try to read it the software just keeps the attempting to read codeplug and never changes. Ive tried 6 different versions. I tried the Radius Mobile and got an Error 21, sometimes i get a Serial bus error 2. I dont have much hair left to pull! LOL Thanks!
