Cross band repeating

Post by Pozy »

I would like to try to connect a UHF Mot. CDM 1550LS (UHF) to a Vertex VX4000(VHF), so when CDM 1550LS is set on a certain ch. and the user is out on portable near the vehicle and is on the same ch. that traffic from the portable is going through the uhf radio and then being rebroadcasted over the Vertex on what every ch. that it is set to. I was wondering if anyone has done this in past or has any ideas on how to set this up and what parts may I need to get..

What radios do you own?: CDM1550 LS+, HT1250, MCS2000

I do know that if the VX-4000 is a remote mount, you can "daisy Chain" a VX-4000 Uhf deck onto the Vhf Deck and the VX-4000 Control head will automatically crossband repeat via a Pushbutton on the control head itself.
