XTL1500 program pinout

Post by jim »

Does anyone have the programming cable schematic and pinout/assignment for the XTL1500 with the round mic jack?

it uses a serial ribless cable. The cable also has electronics in the cable so it will not be easy to make a cable.

The RIBless cables for other Astro 25 radios have already been reverse engineered... my suspicion would be that the "guts" are the same, just different connectors for the different models.

All of the ASTRO-25 mobiles (XTL-5000, XTL-2500, XTL-1500) use the same connection for programming....finally - they keep the same programming cable for the ENTIRE family of mobiles! :)

...except for the XTL1500 with the new LCD face

My guess is that you can use a regular RIB, but we need to know the pinout for the mic jack. Anyone with a svc manual?

HKN6183 is the programming and FLASH upgrade cable for the XTL-1500, XTL-2500, and XTL-5000 O5.
