Hi,
I just bought a UHF HT1250. I programmed a couple freqs into it, a few being repeaters. When I key up the radio sometimes it hits the repeater and sometimes it doesnt. Is there any reason why this could be? I'm new to using Motorola programming software. Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.
Also how do you set the correct time??
THank You

Re: HT1250 Questions
A common reason for not keying a repeater reliably is that the PL deviation is not set properly.fireguy810 wrote:Hi,

If you are really close to the repeater, say closer than a mile from the antenna, and you are having these problems, then yes it is probably a tone deviation issue. Have the radio checked out by a tech or re-aligned.
If you are quite a ways out (further than line-of-site from the antenna) or, in a fringe area, then it's just the fact that you're simply just too far away to make it in reliably, i.e. a dead spot, like NSPD had noted, which is not a radio problem, so I wouldn't worry about it if this is the case.

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
were you outside when you tried to key it up and at least in the same city? and to set the clock the directions mentioned earlier are correct but they also have to be turned on in the menu via cps.
