Key loader question

I have a T3020AX key loader and hope someone can answer this question. I have two System Saber III units and need to install a NTN5835 module which is smartnet DES\XL . I know my loader will not activate the XL mode, but will it load a key to the DES module ? Thanks in advance. Skip

Your keyloader will not load the keys for a des/xl module. You will have to upgrade.

The xl feature is enabled in the RSS.

On the brightside these radios will talk to your other DES radios when loaded with the same key.

An AX series keyloader will not program a Systems Saber. as far as XL I am not too sure, I did have a Sys Saber with OTAR DES-XL and after upgrading the keyloader to a BX prom it did load a single key, which if the radio was turned off was lost.
