Astro Spectra Error 01/10 at powerup?

Post by akardam »

Anybody know what an Error 01/10 on an Astro Spectra indicates? This happened after I did a major drag/drop from one radio to another. The radio appears to function normally after the error dissapears.

I can drop the original codeplug back in and the error goes bye-bye, so obviously there's something in the codeplug that the radio doesn't like, but I've checked everything I can think of. It almost sounds like it thinks something's not connected, but the only thing besides the radio and the head is a DEK, and it seems like it's working fine.

Any thoughts?

01/10 and 02/10 are associated with "dual radio" setups.

i.e. a primary and secondary radio.

check that stuff in your codeplug

I disagree. I think it has to do with narrowband freqs being entered into a non narrowband radio.

Aha!

Actually, as I found out, it came from trying to stuff a 2.5khz spaced channel into a VHF radio without a 2.5khz board. Oddly enough though, the channels I had dragged over, I had set to RX only, with 146.0 as the RX frequency. However, I'd neglected to change the TX freqs before they got greyed out. Changed them to 146.0 as well, blow in the codeplug, and presto - happy radio.

Go figure.
