I have UHF GM300's interfaced with a repeater controller and an FT2400 in a remote base configuration. I was getting tinny and hollow audio reports. The 551 jumper in my Rx is set at position B for de-emphasized audio and I am using pin 11 on the 16 pin connector. I am not overdriving. Upon closer inspection of the Rx codeplug; I noticed that signalling was activated. After I disabled this function, it seems that my audio is more natural sounding. Does this feature alter the freq response of the Rx audio?

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
signaling is done before or after or both but not during so that shouldn't effect the audio you hear.
