CommandStar Lite w/ digital module questions

Post by Equinox »

I have recently worked with two CommandStar Lite consoles that were ordered with the digital module. One has the DCM in the first slot, the other is in the last slot. We did not specify them to be one way or the other.

Here's my dilemma. Without making this a novel length post, I am wanting to take the one w/ the DCM in the first slot, and move it to the last slot. The big question I have is, does CML set the dipswitches and jumpers properly, or do you have to set them your self? I'm hoping they do set them up properly, so I can simply copy the settings from the other console that has the DCM in the last slot. It also looks like I have to move the small digital board from it's slot on the main board to the expansion board. The kicker to this whole deal is, we will not be using the DCM anytime soon, but I want to make sure everything is kosher for when the move to digital does happen.

If at first you don't succeed,.....then maybe skydiving isn't for you.
