Motorola Waris Series Cloning Cable

just saw this item on ebay, a cloning cable for the motorola waris series radios. im new to motorola radios so just wondering how i would use this cable to clone one radio to another...just looks like 2 radio connectors on the end of a cord, nothing elce. is there any software etc needed with the cable to be able to clone radios??? could someone plz give me instructions on anything elce i need besides 2 radios and the cloning cable, and also how to clone the radios with this type of cable??? thanks for the help.

You would hold the the top side button and the button below the PTT, with the little nub on it, together while turning on the radio.

This puts them in "Clone Mode". Try it yourself, it should make a little musical beep, the same as when you write the radio with CPS.

does this actually make one clone off the other, or do i need to actually put each radio thru the programming software after putting it it Clone Mode??? im a noob with motorola radio programming....sorry 4 the dumb question :P

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

cloning isn't going to transfer all of the radios options, just channels, frequencies, pl/dpl's, zones, scan list.
